When Herne Bay based Avenue Services asked ACCLAIMED PRODUCTION to support them on another project, we were more than happy to help. Avenue Services had been approached to supply the technical production for the main venue for the Salvation Army Scout's Centenary Jamboree event in the grounds of the Scout headquarters at Gilwell Park in Essex and required some additional lighting equipment and an additional creative eye.

ACCLAIMED PRODUCTION specified and supplied the appropriate equipment to create a dynamic backdrop as well as moving lights arranged to help bring different looks and movement to the magazine-style programme of live music, presentations and activities. CAD scale drawings and 3D renders were also produced to give a feel for the space and to help ensure the planned equipment arrangement would work in the restricted space.

At the heart of the design were twelve Miltec LED battens vertically supported facing out into the audience. These battens have 18 cells per 1m batten which contain red, green, blue and white LEDs per cell. Utilising ACCLAIMED PRODUCTION's Avolites Tiger Touch lighting console, each cell was individually controlled by creating 'pixel mapping' effects, allowing for a wide variety of dynamic animated effects across the backdrop.

ACCLAIMED were onsite all week to install, programme and operate the lighting to help bring the venue to life for the 800 scouts and leaders.
